Traveling, to those who enjoy it, is a drug.
The rush of the unknown meets the excitement of the expected. New places and people. New perspectives on the way we view our world and The World. But most importantly, travel is a lesson about ourselves. It forces us to face our biases and grow our patience ( I’m talking to you, TSA). Traveling places a mirror to ourselves and encourages openness of the mind and soul.
So to you, dear reader of this blog, I encourage you to make a promise that this year, you’ll go somewhere new and let the experience bring you it’s blessings and lessons.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine
